"Open Styled impressionistic" Animals are usually 1/2 the cost of the realistic pieced, depending on their complexity. Realistic representation pricing formula see below The follow is the formula to calculate the cost of my animal sculptures 4 legged animals that
are hairless or short haired, measure from the
shoulder (withers) to the ground when they are standing on all four feet ....
Aluminum or Steel: $334.00 per inch or $4,000.00 per foot 4 legged animals that are long haired or have wool,
or fur that is long, measure from the shoulder
(withers) to the ground when they are standing on all four feet .... Barbed Wire: $375 per inch or $45,00.00 per foot. Aluminum or Steel: $375 per inch or $4,500.00 per foot. For animals that are partly short haired or hairless and the other part long haired or have wool or fur the price is calculated by the percentage of each texture the whole subject contains. Example: an
elk is about 1/3 long hair and 2/3 short hair. If the elk is 60 inches or
5 feet at the withers and the sculpture is to be made of barbed wire then the
cost would be calculated as follows: 2/3 of 5 feet (40 inches) of short hair costs $13,360.00 for a total of $20,860.00 for the body. Items such as antlers on elk or deer and a trunk of an elephant, a saddle or harness on a horse are additional. and each is priced individually. example: Elk 6 or 7 point antlers cost $3,500.00. Therefore the cost of a life size elk made of barbed wire that is 60 inches at the withers (shoulders) is a total of $24,360.00 People People with simple clothes or if naked are measured as if they are standing straight an tall regardless of the position they are in the sculpture. $300 per inch or $3,600.00 per foot Intricate clothes is priced on an individual basis. The above formula is the way to calculate a life-size or smaller price. Anything that is larger than life-size also takes into consideration the extra volume that is involved as they get larger. Exanple: A twice life-size piece has a volume that is 4 times the amount, so the price takes that into consideration. Therefore the cost would be 4 times the cost of a life-size piece and not twice the cost. For other pricing please contact me at 208-866-8171 or email me. |
